How to use the unkissed bottle

How to use the unkissed bottle

unkissed comes in airless pump packaging. You may need to press the pump 5-6 times on first use to prime the bottle, which is totally normal in an airless bottle! Once primed, the bottle is activated and it’ll dispense the product smoothly.

  • Don’t shake the bottle before or after use
  • Always store in a cool, dark place

What to expect at first

  • Lightweight serum-like consistency
  • Cooling & hydrating
  • Zero white cast
  • Glides on easily and sets to a satin finish

How to incorporate unkissed into your routine?

Step 1

Patch Test

Apply ¼ pump on your jawline or on the skin just in front of your ear. If there is no adverse reaction within 24 hours, you’re good to go!

Step 2

Build Into Your AM Routine

Make sure your face is fully dry before application. Moisturiser still damp? Give it a minute to settle first.

Pro tip: Dry hands only! Dispense 1-2 pump and spread it evenly across your face and neck. Make sure you massage the sunscreen thoroughly to ensure the formula is fully blended. If not blended out well, it could lead to pilling in the day.

Why does unkissed feel tacky/ oily on the skin?

Why does unkissed feel tacky/ oily on the skin?

That’s hydration, not oil. The formula is rich in humectants and emollients that lock in moisture. It may feel dewy for the first 5-10 minutes. Let it settle for 15-20 minutes for a natural, satin finish.

Pro tips for best finish: apply only on dry skin, avoid rubbing it around too much and allow proper time for it to dry down before applying makeup or heading out. You’ll get the smoothest finish!

Why is unkissed pilling?

  • Layering order: the general rule of thumb is to apply from the lightest to the heaviest
  • Layering products too quickly: give time to each product to dry before applying the next
  • Using water-based and oil-based formulas together: they do not mix well!
  • Applying sunscreen while your skin is still damp

How to prevent it

  • Let every step of your skincare dry completely before applying the next
  • Apply unkissed in a thin, even layer - not too much, not too little
  • Avoid rubbing or overworking the product
  • Wait before applying makeup - let sunscreen settle first

Sensitive eyes? We got you.

Sensitive eyes? We got you.

If you have sensitive eyes, don’t apply unkissed too close to your eyes — stop at the orbital bone on your face. We also strongly suggest that you wash your hands thoroughly after applying sunscreen to avoid accidental transfer from the leftover on your fingers

Pro Tip: Use a bit of loose setting powder under the eyes to keep sunscreen in place

How to reapply

How to reapply

Without makeup: Just reapply 1 full pump every 2-3 hours if you’re exposed to the sun.

With makeup on: Dab it on gently using your fingers or a damp beauty blender. Avoid rubbing or swiping - patting works best.

Why does my skin feel warm?

Why does my skin feel warm?

This is normal. The encapsulated sunscreen filters in unkissed release a small amount of heat when they burst and activate. The warmth fades in a few minutes and is completely safe.

Pro Tip: Gently pat your skin if it feels too warm.

How long will the unkissed mini last me?

The bottle should last 10 to 14 days, depending on how many pumps of unkissed you use every day.
